French Melges 24 Class Reorganising

As well as great news from our new classes in Denmark and the Netherlands this week has also brought exciting new from France where there is a new drive and enthusiasm amongst the Melges 24 sailors. Vanessa Bohe is now working with French Class President Denis Infant on a programme of events and promotions that are specifically aimed at regenerating interest in the Melges 24 Class in France.

They have announced a circuit of three French Cup events which have been specially planned to fit in well with the Italian Volvo Cup circuit. The three events that will comprise the 2011 French Cup are:

March 11-13 - Volvo Cup Sanremo
May 27-39 - Grand Prix La Grande Motte
November 10-13 - French Nationals in Hyeres

In addition the French Class will use the SNIM Easter Regatta at Marseille (April 22-25) as a training/warmup event.
