DETROIT TEAM OF BUNN & GULARI WIN NORTH AMERICAN FALL CHAMPIONSHIP ON LAKE GENEVA
Laurie Bunn and helmsman Bora Gulari bested a field of 18 top Melges 24 racers in the Lake Geneva Fall Championship. Their final race bullet sealed the deal for their team. In the seven race series Bunn and Gulari won two of the heats!
The setting could not have been more perfect this weekend. Melges Performance Sailboats which is just up the road from the Lake Geneva Yacht Club hosted the racers to a two day, 7 race series. Lots of beer and food and a great time! The fall colors were in full bloom this weekend and the sun sprayed lake added to the perfect picture.
Saturday dawned with 5-15 mph north winds. 70 degrees, sun and fall colors all around beautiful Lake Geneva. Four races were sailed on Saturday. Race Winners on Saturday included:

Sunday was ideal too. East winds of a steady 8-10mph greeted the sailors. Three race heats were completed on this day and the race winners were:
