DAY 2 IN TORQUAY BRINGS MODERATE WINDS & BROKEN SUN
9am - The teams are just preparing to go afloat here in Torquay and this morning it looks as if racing will start on time. We've currently got around 8 knots from the south west with broken sunshine and a forecast for around 8-10 knots. The Race Committee are already on the course and are looking to get a further two or three races in today.
Last night the competitors enjoyed a lively post racing seminar led by Nigel Young of North Sails UK Ltd. Nigel is sailing with Team Gill and has been a regular on the Melges circuit for over a decade with a number of highly successful teams. His post racing seminars have become a regular feature of major events and sailors very much enjoy the opportunity to exchange ideas and quizz the professionals and leading crews for top tips.
