Crews Prepare and Practice in Hyeres

The 126 crews preparing for the Melges 24 Worlds in Hyeres are busy completing measurement and registration and getting some last minute practise in the warm up regatta. As I write the boats are just sailing in from the race course after a glorious afternoon sailing in perfect sea breeze conditions.

The standard of the crews is incredibly high and there is a fantastic air of anticipation as we look forward to this record breaking regatta. We have more practise races tomorrow and registration and measurement continues until Sunday morning. Crews will take part in a special welcome ceremony on Saturday evening and, weather gods permitting, racing for the championship will begin at 12 noon on Sunday.

Stay tuned as always for the latest news, results and pictures.
