Class Rule Changes & Illegal Hiking Methods

The Class Rule Changes agreed at the IMCA World Council AGM in 2006 have now been ratified by ISAF and came into force on 1st January including the new rule governing hiking.

The new hiking rule outlaws a number of practises which have begun to creep in on the race course and to help you idendify some of the manouvers that are no longer permissible CLICK HERE to view a selection of photographs showing some now illegal hiking methods.

As always we urge you to familiarise yourselves with the class rules to ensure you are not infringing any of them accidentally and can identify when other boats are infringing the rules.
