Bottle of Champagne for 125th Worlds Entrant!

From Denis Infante and the Worlds Organisers - As of today the COYCH has 124 entries for the 2006 Melges 24 World Championship which is just one short of the existing championship entry record set in La Rochelle in 2000. There are now only five days to go until the absolute final entry deadline of 16th August and the COYCH are offering the 125th entrant to the regatta a fabulous bottle of champagne in recognition of equalling the record. Down in Hyères the first competitors have already strart to train and discover the bay of Hyères. We have seen on water during 4 days hard training

- Nicolas CELONE on "BETE"
- Bruno JOURDREN on "LORD JYMINY"
- Fabien HENRY on "SOGETI-HYERES"

In sunny west-wind conditions, they take time to stop in marvellous Porquerolles Island in the south of the bay.

Somme technical reminders

For boats who arrive during the night there is a place reserved on HYERES CARENAGE in the harbour.

Please also make sure you bring your insurance certificate and have paid your class memberships (owner must be a full member and non-owner helms must be associate members).

We look forward to seeing you in Hyeres in the coming days.
