BIG SHIP WINS LA ROCHELLE WEEK

French Class Secretary Magali Jousselin reports from La Rochelle - The 40th La Rochelle Week was a very "French" regatta, with 15 French crews on the starting line. Seven races were run under a bright sun with very warm temperatures.

The wind took ages to show up, we had to wait almost every day until 2 pm for the thermic breeze to give us the chance to do a whole run!

Nevertheless, it was a great regatta, two crews from La Rochelle were on the podium (BIG SHIP/ Alexandre Pallu de La Barrière, first - Partner&Partners/ Cedric Pouligny, third). And, in second place, our French President, Jean Sans, with his famous "Lapin-Lapin" , helmed by Jean-Philippe Cau.

We hope that next year a few international crews will come to make this regatta even better.
