ALINA NOW LEADS ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER 3 DAYS
From the Italian Class - The third day of the italian open championship was just another "ordinarily brilliant" day of sailing in Sardinia. The crews, feeling strong after last nights "grigliata", or should we call it barbecue, went out in front of the Marinella Gulf around noon, expecting the start at 12.30. But the wind was light and shifty, not like yesterday, someone must have thought. He didn't have to wait too long, right after one o' clock the "maestrale" started blowing, the breeeze soon reaching 12-15 knots, and getting even stonger during the afternoon.
Again, two races were held, and Alina won both, jumping at first place in the overall standings. Dream team is finally back on track, scoring second in the first race of the day, and the German team No Woman No Cry hold tight to the third place in both races. The rest of the fleet fights hard, and the final scorings, at this point, are really close!
