Alain Roig and Flor Direct Crew Win Primo Cup
Congratulations to Alain Roig and the crew of Flor Direct from France on their victory in last weekend's Primo Cup Trophee Credit Suisse regatta in Monaco. Twelve teams from France, Monaco, Austria, the UK, Italy and Switzerland came together for this great season opener where some difficult light airs conditions made for a very close weekend of sailing.
Roig and his team had a hard job to win the regatta and second place Jean Marc Monnard aboard Swiss entry Poizon Rouge finished just one point behind him. In the early stages Monnard looked to have the upper had taking wins in the first three races, however, Roig was not to be outdone and having already racked up two seconds and a sixth, which he discarded, he went on to win the last three races and take the title.
Third place went to the Italian Alfa Spider crew of Edoardo and Vanni Pavesio with Isabelle Dreau and her French team in LFD fourth.
