Adam Burns Is 2010 Melges 24 North American Overall & Corinthian Champion

The final race of the series was hugely exciting as Burns and Field matched raced their way up the first beat fighting it out for the overall title. Field needed to get two boats between him and Burns to win and Burns was equally determined not to let him. At the first mark the two boats rounded mid fleet with Burns just in front of Field and the deed was done. From there on in Burns stretched away gaining places through the fleet and ultimately finishing third behind Ken Gray and John Koten to claim the titles. Field finished 12th, his worst result of the series but still sufficient to hang onto second while Henry Filter took eighth place to secure third overall and second Corinthian. Full results at the event website.
