ACURA KEY WEST CENTURY CLUB CONTEST ANNOUNCED

The 2006 season gets underway in Key West this weekend, where 60 Melges 24 teams are expected to compete in Acura Key West Race Week staring on Monday. To add a little bit of extra excitement to this already hugely popular and competive regatta Matt Mayo and Mark Bryan of the Melges 24 US Gulf Coast District have announced an exciting new competition!

The Gulf Coast District offer a case of Texas brewed Shiner Beer to the best finishing boat with a hull number of 100 or under as of Wednesday night standings without discard. Entry for this prestigiou event is free - just drop Matt Mayo and E-mail with your details including hull number to be included.

Most importantly of all the award will be presented to the winning crew at the Gulf Coast District's Party in Key West on Wednesday night at 7pm. All the Melges 24 crews are invited to join in the fun and we understand a few more cases of Shiner will be available to help things go with a swing.
