79 Entries Now Confirmed For Europeans

With just eleven days to go to the start of the Melges 24 European Championship, being held in association with Rolex Baltic Race Week, a record 79 entries are now confirmed on the rosta. Teams will represent Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and Sweden - a total of 14 nations which is also a record for a Melges 24 European Championship.

Although the reiging European Champions Joe Fly cannot be there to defend their title, reigning Corinthian European Champion Alba Batzill with Eddy Eich's No Woman No Cry team from Germany are compting and hope to retain their crown. Current World Champion Nicola Celon and his team aboard Bete Bossini from Italy are keen to add the European crown to their list of successes.
