55 Entries Already Confirmed For This Weekend's Italian Nationals/Volvo Cup Scarlino

This weekend's Italian Nationals and Volvo Cup Scarlino event promises to be a classic with 55 teams from 12 nations including 30 Corinthian crews already entered. Scarlino is the venue for the 2012 Melges 24 World Championship (29 August to 8 September 2012) so this event has the added attraction of offering the opportunity of allowing the crews to begin familiarising themselves with the Worlds venue as well.

IMCA Administrator Fiona Brown will also be attending this event to conduct a pre-event site visit for the 2012 Worlds. Fi will be working in close conjunction with IMCA Vice Chairman Guenter Tzeschlock, who is the IMCA Executive Committee's Liaison Officer for this event, and also with the representatives of the Italian Class and the Club Nautico Scarlino. During the site visit Fi and Guenter will be reviewing the facilities and they will also be keen to obtain feedback from the competitors about the venue to assist in planning for the 2012 Worlds, so if you are competing do please take the time to chat with one of them and give them your feedback on the venue.
