Dear Fellow Melges Sailors, This is my first message as International Chairman of the Class. I would like to thank all the many of you who have been so supportive to me with messages, mails and calls following my election. Thank you for your warm welcome.

Dear Melges sailors, As promised we are announcing the new date and location for the 2011 European Championship to be held in Aarhus Denmark from the 22th to 28th of July.

At the 2010 IMCA World Council AGM held on Saturday 20 November in Berlin a new Executive Committee was elected to manage the day to day business of the class. Taking over as Chairman of the Class if Riccardo Simoneschi of Italy.

Just prior to the 2010 IMCA World Council AGM, which took place in Berlin this past Saturday 20 November, the IMCA Executive Committee received notification from Haugesund (Norway) that with deep regret it was withdrawing from hosting the 2011 Melges 24 European Championship.
