US ATLANTIC COAST CHAMPS/KING'S DAY REGATTA NEWS

The Carloan.com King's Day Regatta and US Atlantic Coast Championship will be held between 18 and 20 November 2005 at the Florida Yacht Club, Jacksonville, Florida. Already a host of top European and US competitors are committed to this regatta, the last major event before the Corum Melges 24 Worlds in December, with 26 entries already confirmed.

The Florida Yacht Club, always a fantastic host, is really pushing the boat out for the Melges 24 class this year and have offered free storage to boats between the event and the Worlds. They are also setting up some special hotel deals, details of which will be available shortly.

The event will start with weigh-in, registration and a practise race on Friday 18th with regatta racing on Saturady 19 and Sunday 20th. The FYC's apres sailing hospitality is legendary and this year will be no exception with plenty to keep everyone enterained ashore.

Melges 24 Class coordinator for the event is USMCA South East District Governor Ryan Hamm on e-mail ryanhamm@sadlerandhamm.com.

The Notice of Race is due to be released shortly so keep an eye on the web site for more details.
