New Constitution of the International Melges 24 Class Association approved by ISAF
November 19, 2015 - IM24CA - Extraordinary General Meeting was called to accept the draft of the new Constitution of the International Melges 24 Class Association on November 6. As a result of the discussions and long meeting the new constitution, a standard ISAF constitution template modified to our needs, was accepted by the fourteen National Classes attending the meeting. New constitution was approved by ISAF on November 18, 2015.
Current constitution originated to the early 1990s and was in many points out of date. Tomi Hakola, Jens Wathne and Piret Salmistu together with people in Executive Committee and ISAF have been working to update it to 2015 standards and to the template used by many ISAF classes today. Invitation to EGM was sent to all delegates on 25th September 2015 – six (6) weeks before the meeting date. Invitation was published on the website the same day. IM24CA received some feedback from the NCA’s, but the class agreed on to update the ISAF template. ISAF got the draft of the new Constitution accepted by the IM24CA's EGM on November 10, 2015 and approved it on November 18, 2015.
