TEAM SUUNTO WINS FINNISH OPEN

A great weekend of racing for a 14 boat fleet in Helsinki saw Kenneth Thelen's Team Suunto win the Finnish Championship title for a record fourth time.The margin to the second place boat was again the lowest possible, 1 point. This year, like in 2001, the closest rival was Black Seal helmed by Jamie Lea.

In third place Seawind FIN 262 had despite one DSQ and a one seventh placing a clean weekend. Having enjoyed incredibly close racing the fleet will have a 5 day rest preparing their boats for the European Championship tune-up races. The first European Champioship race will be sailed on Monday the 4th of August.
