Peter Kendall & Amigos Take NSW State Title in Australia
February 8, 2021 - Lake Macquarie Yacht Club, NSW, Australia - New South Wales Melges 24 State Championship was sailed off Lake Macquarie Yacht Club on the lake's eastern shore over the weekend of February 6-8. Race officer Ross Aherns' Race Committee managed to deliver nine races for seven Melges 24 teams during three racing days. Great weekend with a couple of light races but mostly 15 to 20 knots wind.
It was close racing on top and race for the victory was tight.
The title of the state was taken by Peter Kendall's team on AMIGOS AUS816 who was collecting five bullets and 13 points in total.
With very consistent racing, just one point behind, finished second Heath Walters / Chris Links' BANTA AUS750.
Kevin and Glenda Nixon's ACCRU AUS814 completed the podium.

Melges 24 AUS Nationals were scheduled to follow the NSW State Championship, but travel restrictions for interstate competitors put a halt to the Melges 24 2021 Australian Championship. Instead, they'll run a national title later in the year.
