Join us for the 2022 Melges 24 World Championship!
March 22, 2022 - Ft. Lauderdale, FL, USA - Twenty-eight high-powered teams have registered for the 2022 Melges 24 World Championships, to be held May 7-15 at the Lauderdale Yacht Club.
The roster of registered sailors includes:
- Niccolo Bertola (Taki 4), Three-time & Reigning Corinthian World Champion
- Michael Goldfarb (War Canoe), 2019 U.S. National Champion
- Fraser McMillan (Sunnyvale), 2021 Canadian Champion and Reigning Corinthian North American Champion
- Federico Michetti (Pacific Yankee), Five-time Melges 24 World Champion
- Morgan Reeser (Pacific Yankee), Three-time U.S. National Champion
- Richard Reid (Zingara), 2021 Atlantic Coast Champion
- Travis Weisleder (Lucky Dog), 2019 North American Champion
- Bora Gulari - (New England Ropes), Two-time winner of the Bacardi Winter Series
IM24CA Chair Laura Grondin encourages teams to register when there is two months to go to the very much expected event for the Melges 24 class: "Join us for the 2022 Worlds Championship in May in Fort Lauderdale hosted by the Lauderdale Yacht Club! We have a great event, both on and off the water, planned for the class and we hope you can join us. The US class is working hard to make sure that boats that are available for charter are listed on the website. If you are looking for a charter or even a boat to buy, please let us know as we’d like to post those requests as well. We are looking to have a strong and robust fleet of Melges 24s on the line for our first World Championship in 3 years!”
