August 10, 2018 - Riva del Garda, Italy - Sometimes the results just speak for themselves: with an impressive scoreline of 1-1-7-4-7-1-1-3-9-DNC, never going out of the top ten in a fleet of 72 boats, and with one race to spare, the Italian crew of Maidollis (ITA854, 3-9-DNC today) by owner Gian Luca Perego, with Carlo Fracassoli at helm, Enrico Fonda calling tactics, Stefano Lagi and Matteo Ramian, is crowned 2018 Melges 24 European Champion. The Italians, already winners of the World Championship in Helsinki 2017, succeed in the golden book to Chris Rast's EFG Sailing Team, winner in Hyeres 2016.

2012 Melges 24 World Championship - Torbole, Italy
I Overall - Gullisara ITA803 - Giuseppe Comerio, Carlo Fracassoli, Enrico 'Chicco' Fonda, Tano Felci, Giovanni Ferrari, Carlo Zermini.
August 4, 2012 - Torbole, Italy - The 2012 Melges 24 World Championship was decided on the finish line of the final race when Carlo Fracassoli and his team had to wait an agonising four minutes for their nearest rival, Alberto Bolzan's Saetta, to cross the finish line before they could be certain of victory. Gullisara, the reigning European Champion owned by Giuseppe Comerio, fielded excellent sailors, but also great friends. With local expert Carlo Fracassoli at the helm, Enrico 'Chicco' Fonda as tactician, Tano Felci on the sheets, Giovanni Ferrari at the halyards and Carlo Zermini on the bow.

2011 Melges 24 European Championship - Aarhus, Denmark
I Overall - Gullisara ITA803 - Carlo Fracassoli, Enrico 'Chicco' Fonda, Giovanni Ferrari
July 28, 2011 - Arhus, Denmark - Böklunder International Melges 24 European Championship 2011 took place in Aarhus, Denmark. Racing began Sunday 24th July and the ten race series concluded today, Thursday 28 July. Overnight leader Carlo Fracassoli on ITA 803 Gullisara, who went into the day with a 22 point advantage, finished the regatta in style with a hard fought win in the first race of the day. Fracassoli's race win initially appeared far from assured however. Rounding the first windward mark in sixth place he clawed his way up to third by the leeward gate before playing the shifty second beat to perfection to take the lead at the second windward mark. Once in front he was totally in control and on the final run to the finish he cruised home to take his third race win of the championship. This result sealed Fracassoli's championship victory with a race to spare and unsurprisingly he and his Italian crew immediately headed for the harbour to begin their victory celebrations.
